I am a Consultant Urologist at a private hospital located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. As a Urologist, I perform many endoscopic and laparoscopic surgical procedures.

 

I have Rokid Max connected to our surgical device after surgery was completed. I was interested to know about the visual quality, latency, and comfort if Rokid Max HUD eyewear is worn throughout surgery.Using Endolaparoscopic Video System from Karl Storz, I connected a DVI to HDMI adapter to the HD monitor. Then I connected Rokid (or UGreen) HDMI to USB-C adapter, which is then connected via a 5m USB-C cable to Rokid Max.

 

I used Rokid Max AR glasses with and without the Blackout Cover. Without the Blackout Cover, I have better awareness of surroundings in case if I need to change my surgical instruments. The visual quality is excellent, far better quality than the video monitor. I did not notice any significant latency, when moving my endoscope all around. I was able to keep my neck straight during the procedure, so maintaining a good ergonomic position. If I was looking at the monitor, it is always placed at the side so I have to turn my head towards it during surgery.

So far, I am very happy with the purchase. I am using it at home to watch streaming videos, and also when I take a train to go to work.
